Machiavellian

lacorelrei copy.

when do you feel most 'Machiavellian'? don't we all do? not always but almost all the time. we always justify everything we do.

'Machiavellian' is happen not only because, someone stealing food when they're hungry, or when the government takes away the rights of its citizen for his own ideal goals, or when Goob on "Meet The Robinsons" want to take revenge cause Lewis ruin his entire life (i always believe that Goob deserve better) or when Robert Callaghan on "Big Hero 6" destroying everyone just to have her daughter back. When we talk about 'Machiavellian' it doesn't have to be associated with hurting other people. It also occurs when we hurting our very own self. We always think its okay, cause its us that we hurt.

This is how i see it, what do we actually want to achieve, when we're 12? 13? 15? 18?19? don't we all wants to be relevant? to not wasting time, to be not 'off putting', to be adored, to be eagerly awaited, to become an achiever, and to actually living the life. But these things often make us ended up ruining our self, we become restless, thinking, what should I do to not be alone. And that's just the proof the we never actually living this life for our self, didn't we? but maybe, this is just what life meant to be, may be this is not a bad thing after all.

Some people starve their self to be 'adored', some people always try to be funny to be 'eagerly waited', some people push their self to become an 'achiever'. And they 'Machiavellianly' try everything to reach it all. Its weird, sometimes, when people says that they hate you or act like it, it makes you questioning your self, and it will stays in the deepest lake of you soul and it never goes away, it pierced through you. And then, all over again, you'll pushed you're self to become 'someone' again, 'someone' that they want you to be, so that you'll be adored, eagerly waited, relevant, and accepted. And you will do whatever it takes. It scares me, that this is what I am and maybe some people actually already become and that maybe this the life, we meant to lived.

Knowing these, maybe we should always 'care', cause this is intangible, I can never see when my words stabs. And we all now its always so complicated to be an Machiavellian for our own self

special thanks to Niccolò Machiavelli (1469-1527) - i've just known you for like 2 seconds
